Tenia planeado hace mucho hacer este proyecto, pero por diferentes razones se iba atrasando, compre los materiales a principios del año, un poco después de hacer las corbatas para mujer. La verdad estoy enamorada de cómo salieron esta corbatas, yo no se coser a maquina así que fue genial hallar la forma de hacerlas sin necesidad de coser.
Este proyecto fue toda una aventura, ya que yo nunca había comprado tela así que no tenia la menor idea de cómo se vende, además sabia que solo quería un pedacito de tela y no una yarda completa. Así que me fui a la tienda donde venden telas, y pregunte cual es la menor cantidad en la que uno puede comprar tela, creo que me dijeron 3” que son como 10cm y luego el largo depende de cómo viene la tela, así que escogí un montón de telas y me fui a la mesa donde cortan, la verdad me dio un poquito de vergüenza decir deme 30cm de largo… pero la verdad no me gusta el desperdicio y yo lo que quería era variedad de telas. Como verán en el video, utilizo fieltro para darle mas firmeza a las corbatas, si ustedes compran un tela que de por si es muy gruesa, no necesitan usar el fieltro, el cual porsiacaso es muy económico 29cen por 1 lamina pequeña. Este es el perfecto accesorioNo se olviden de ser muy cuidadosa al usar la pistola de silicona, para evitar cualquier quemadura. Espero que este proyecto le guste y si lo hacen.

I have planned to make this DIY for a while, but for various reasons it got delay. After making the bow ties for girls I knew I had to make the one for guys. I really love how these bow ties came out; the best part is that you don’t have to sew; which is great because I don’t know how to sew :-).
This project was an adventure for me. I have never bought fabric before so I didn’t know anything about what I had to do, how I could get it, or how much I had to buy at one time. All I knew was I needed a small piece. I went to the Joan’s and asked what the smallest amount of fabric was that they sold which they told me was 3”, around 10cm, but it would depend on how the fabric comes. So when I asked the lady at the station for 10” of fabric I was more than a little embarrassed; I was probably the only person there asking for such a small quantity. In total, I think I paid $7 for all the fabrics which turned out great. As you will see in the video, I also used felt that helped give the ties a better shape. Note that if you purchase very think fabric you won’t need to use the felt like I did. Also note that the way felt is is very affordable, only 29 cents per sheet. These bow ties are a perfect accessory for men regardless of age.
