DIY Felt Flower Wreath

If you’ve followed me for a while you may know that I love making flowers of all kinds, if you’re just getting to know me and you’ve been thinking that, you’re right!

Felt is one of my favorite materials to work with; it’s really affordable fabric and super easy to work with. While yes, there has been some increase in felt prices over the last few years; it is still a great deal.

I like to decorate my home based on the seasons or any major holidays, and I was thinking about how I could use my chalkboard to decorate the mantel for spring. Eureka! I decided to make a felt flower wreath. I already had a lot of the material I needed at home. After doing a quick inventory, I all I needed to buy was more felt to make the leaves.

This is a really easy DIY, but remember, easy does not equal to quick. When making flowers you’ll realize they’re time-consuming. If you are not afraid of spending a couple hours to build something beautiful, then this DIY is for you.

I know a lot of people use their cutting machine to cut felt, but I don’t use my Cricut because I haven’t been able to cut it properly, even when using a heat bond, the cuts don’t come out right. If you have any tips please let me know because I’d love to use my machine for this project but in the meantime, I’m sticking to my trusty fabric scissors. If you don’t have fabric scissors, go to the store and get a good pair; cutting fabric with paper scissors just doesn’t work well, if at all.

Si tu me has seguido durante un tiempo, tal vez sepas que me encanta hacer flores de todo tipo y fieltro es uno de mis materiales favoritos para trabajar. Es tela es muy buen a para todo tipo de proyecto y es bastante económica. Si bien es cierto ha habido un aumento en los precios de fieltro en los últimos años probablemente por su popularidad, aún sigue teniendo un buen precio.

Como sabrán a mi me encanta decorar mi casa en función de las estaciones o de las fiestas importantes, y estaba qué elemento podría colocar a mi pizarra para decorarlas por la primavera. ¡Eureka! Decidí hacer una corona de flores de fieltro. Ya tenía un montón de material que necesitaba en casa. Después de hacer un inventario rápido, todo lo que necesitaba ir a comprar era mas fieltro de diferente tonos de verde.

Este es un DIY muy fácil, pero recuerde, fácil no es lo mismo que rápido. Cuando haces flores te darás cuenta de que consumen mucho tiempo. Si tu no tienes miedo de pasar un par de horas para construir esta corona, entonces este manualidad es para ti.

Sé que mucha gente usa su cortadora para cortar el fieltro, pero yo no uso mi Cricut porque no he sido capaz de cortarlo correctamente, incluso cuando he usado un heat bond los cortes no salen bien. Si tu tienes alguna sugerencia por favor hágamelo saber porque me encantaría usar mi máquina para este proyecto, pero mientras tanto prefiero utilizar mis tijeras de tela. Si usted no tiene tijeras de tela les recomiendo comprar unas, fieltro es una tela gruesa y una tijera de papel no funcionara adecuadamente.
