Ya tenía pensado hace tiempo hacer un monograma usando flores de papel. Incluso comencé a hacer flores usando cartulina, pero me di cuenta que lo mejor para este proyecto sería usar flores hechas con papel crepe.
Después que descubrí el papel crepe que me gusta mas el cual es Carte Fini, y si vives en los Estados Unidos te recomiendo los compres. El papel crepe que tienen es muy moldeable, lo mejor es que es 180 gramos los cual es genial para hacer flores de papel. La forma en que se dobla y se estira es simplemente genial.
En este video les enseño como hacer una flor sencilla, tenga presente que a pesar de que las flores de papel son fáciles de hacer son bastante laboriosas, y si quieren que la flor sea más realista necesitarán invertir mayor tiempo en su elaboración. Aquí les dejo el link del anterior post donde también les muestro como hacer otro tipo de flor sencilla. Este monograma puede ser el regalo perfecto para el Día de la Madre. También lo pueden usar como decoración de eventos, en fiestas de cumpleaños y baby showers. De igual manera luce genial como decoración de la habitación de un bebé.

I’ve been thinking about making a Monogram with paper flowers for a while, I even went so far to make a few paper flowers using cardstock for it, but in the end I stopped. I knew that the perfect flowers for this project needed to be made of crepe paper but I didn’t have the right crepe paper to continue making the project at the time. Now that I’ve discovered the source of great quality crepe paper I’ve gone and made this lovely Monogram I wanted to make all so long ago. If you want the best result I recommend using high quality paper and if you live in the USA Carte Fini is where you should get it. Their crepe paper is workable, it’s 180 grams which is great when you are making paper flower, the way stretches and folds is just fabulous, and it’s all at a fantastic price.

One of the thing I have learned from making paper flower for a while now is that they’re all fairly easy to make however they’re very time consuming and the more realistic you want your flowers to look the more time you are going to spend. This is why I prefer to teach you how to make an easy flower from the beginning. This monogram can be the perfect gift for Mother’s Day. You can also use it to decorate an event like a baby shower, birthday parties, or even as home décor; it’ll look great in a nursery room.
