DIY Giant Paper Rose III -How to Make a Paper Flower Backdrop

Como les dije anteriormente este proyecto fue basado en algunas fotos que vi en Pinterest y me gusto la idea de decorar tus fiestas con flores gigante. El costo de esta tipo de decoración puede ser costoso alrededor de $500 a $700 por 10 flores, pero para ser sincera después de haber hecho las flores me di cuenta que a pesar de que son fáciles de hacer no dejan de ser bien trabajosas así que lo que piden por las flores es lo justo, por lo menos aquí en USA. Si ustedes tiene un buen presupuesto les recomiendo usar una cartulina de buena calidad, pero sino, no hay problema de usar una cartulina económica.

Yo dibuje todos los moldes para que a ustedes se le haga más fácil armas las flores. Descargar el molde es gratuito durante el 2015 usando sus redes sociales. A partir del 1 de Enero del 2016, la única forma de conseguir mis moldes es comprarlos en mi tienda  Etsy. El paquete PDF incluye 5 moldes de las flores, una hoja y el link a la lista de video tutoriales de como armar las flores. This is the fifth and last blog post and video tutorial in the series “How to Make Giant Paper Flower Backdrop”. There are three kinds of roses and 2 kinds of daisies in this backdrop.

As I’ve said before this DIY was inspired by pictures I saw on Pinterest and I’ve fallen in love with the idea of using giant flowers as a party décor. This kind of décor can be pricy and not everyone has the budget to spend on decorations which is why a lot of people turn to creating they’re own pieces. After doing some research I found out that this kind of decoration costs around $500-700 for only 10 flowers. However after making the flowers myself I’d say the time required to build all of the flowers justifies the retail cost. While the flowers are easy to make they’re very time consuming.

When making the flowers I recommend using a good quality card stock (medium weight, even better) but if that’s not in the budget you can use any affordable or durable card stock. I’ve drawn all the patterns to make building these flowers easy and they’re free to download on my blog during 2015 using your social media. Starting January 1, 2016, the only way to get these patterns is from my Etsy shop. The PDF package incluye 5 flowers patterns,1 leaf and a link to the playlist with all of the video tutorials which are used to put together the flowers. I hope you like this project and if you make it please share a pic with me on my Facebook page or tag me on Instagram. Preguntas Frecuentes

¿Que tipo de cartulina debo usar?
Les recomiendo usar cartulina de peso mediano, pero la cartulina convencional que se usa en proyectos
de la escuela también funciona.

¿Donde compro cartulina de colores mas variados?
Puedes encontrar este tipo de cartulina en las tienda de Arte. También puedes usar papel de tamaño
carta que vende en la sección de scrapbooking, que por lo general es de peso mediano. Este tamaño
papel funciona con casi todas las flores a excepción de la rosa III.

¿Como coloco las flores a la pared?
Yo use tachuelas para colocarlas directamente en la pared. Si tienes miedo de dañar la pared puedes
usar una lamina de madera o hacer un marco con tubo PVC y alambre de corral.

¿Donde descargo los moldes?
Comenzando el 01 de Enero del 2016 mis moldes solo pueden ser comprados en mi tienda Etsy. El paquete PDF incluye los moldes de 5 flores una hoja y el link a la lista de video tutoriales de como armas las flores.

Yo no me responsabilizo si ustedes buscan moldes gratis y terminan con un virus en su computadora.

¿Me puedes mandar los moldes a mi email?
No, la única forma de conseguir mis moldes es comprarlos a través de mi tienda de Etsy. 

¿Nos puede dar una lista de los materiales que usas y recomiendas ?
Si por supuesto, tu puedes ir a la tienda de tu preferencia, yo en particular hago muchas compras online usando Amazon.

Si vives en los Estados Unidos compra cartulina  en cualquier tienda de que venda productos de Arte o Bricolaje cómo Michaels. Jo Ann, Hobby Lobby, etc. La lista de los productos que recomiendo se encuentran arriba de este post con todos los links.

FAQ

What paper should I use?
I recommend medium weight cardstock, but regular cardstock will also work.

Where can I find nice color paper?
You can find it at any Art Supply store. You could also use letter size paper for almost all the flowers except the Rose III. You can find this type of paper in the scrapbooking section.

How do I hang the flowers on the wall?
I used thumbtacks to hang them to the wall but if you are afraid to damage the walls you could use a wooden panel or make a frame of PVC pipe and chicken wire.

Where do I download the patterns?
Starting January 1, 2016, the only place to get these patterns is to purchase them on my Etsy Shop. The PDF package include 5 flowers patterns, 1 leaf and a link to the playlist with all of the video tutorials which are used to put together the flowers.

I do not accept responsibility if you are looking for free patterns online and your computer get infected with a virus or spyware. I repeat the only safe and secure place to get my Giant Paper Flowers patterns is my Etsy shop.

No, the only way to get these patterns is to purchase them on my Etsy Shop.
