Hace más de 1 año que quería hacer este DIY pero por una o otras razones no lo hice, en ese tiempo no tenía a Felipe, pero ya tenía modelos seguros que iban a ser los perritos de mi amiga.
Pero bueno ahora que ya tengo a Felipe es un buen incentivo para hacer este proyecto además que me quedaba tela del DIY que hice para el Día del Padre. Les quiero contar un poquito sobre Felipe, mi esposo y yo lo adoptamos cuando tenía 3 meses, ahora ya tiene 8 meses. Felipe es el primer perrito mío, los que tuve antes eran en la casa de mi mama cuando era pequeña y debían seguir las reglas de mi mama, muchas de las cuales yo no estaba de acuerdo. Una de las reglas de mi mama era que el perrito no podía entrar a la casa el tenia que estar en su casita en el jardín. La verdad me da mucha pena cuando pienso en eso, pobre mi perrito. Para mi tener un perrito es completamente distinto Felipe es un miembro de mi familia, es mi hijo peludo. El está dentro de la casa y duerme en su camita en nuestro cuarto, el puede pasear por todos los cuartos de la casa porque es su casa. Felipe es el primer perro que entrene, mis perros de niña no sabían ni sentarse. Nunca pensé que era fácil entrenar a un perrito especialmente cuando es pequeñito, Felipe es un perrito muy inteligente, sabe un montón de trucos y también sabe cómo tocar la campana que está en la puerta cada vez que quiere salir al patio. Nunca pensé que podía estar tan enamorada de un perrito, pero la verdad es que adoro a mi Felipe.
Ahora volviendo al DIY, a mi me gusta que mi perrito este al grito de la moda…jeje. Nada mejor que usar una corbatita, como saben a mi me gusta hacer mis proyectos asequible para todo bolsillo. El costo por corbatita con collar es como $5, ¿increíble verdad? La tela me costó como $3 dólares, solo compre como 60 cm y la correa la compre de la tienda de dólar. Como verán en el video el proyecto es re fácil, lo único que puede tomar tiempo es volver a armar el collar por eso les recomiendo tomar por lo menos 5 fotos. Tengo que aclares que este collar es mas que todo para ocasiones importantes pero no es un collar de diario, especialmente porque usamos pegamento. Si ustedes deciden coserlo entonces es mas durable y lo puede usar diariamente. Espero que este DIY le haya gustado y si lo hacen no se olviden de compartir una foto conmigo en mis redes sociales. Today I’m going to show you how to make this beautiful pet bow tie, and its great for both dogs or cats. I have been thinking about making this DIY for over a year, but for one or other reason I haven’t done it. I had 2 doggie models that were available to me but I just didn’t do it. However, now I have Felipe and a good reason to get it done. I want to share a little more about Felipe with you guys, my husband and I adopted him when he was three months old. Felipe is my first puppy, the dogs I had as a child where in my parents house child so they followed my mom’s rules many of which I always had a problem with. One of my mom’s rules was that the dog could never be inside the house, he had his house in the backyard and my mom would tell you that that’s where he belonged; It makes me sad thinking he was always outside. For me, having a dog is completely different than that of my parents. My husband and I adopted him into our family and not just as a pet he’s my furry little child. Felipe is the first dog that I trained, and like a child it’s taken some time but he’s well behaved for an 8 month old puppy and knows a handful of commands. I never thought I could love an animal this much, but I adore my Felipe. If you are looking for a pet please don’t shop, instead you should adopt. If you are a foster parent of a pet this DIY may be really helpful when you are looking for a family for your foster.
Now let’s get to the DIY:
Felipe is a hipster dogs so he needs to wear a bow tie… You know that I like to make my DIYs as affordable as I can but just because they’re affordable doesn’t mean that they’re cheap. This DIY costs less than $5 to make, isn’t that unbelievable? The fabric is $3 dollars for 60 cm x 90 cm and I purchased the collar at the dollar store.
As you’ll see in the video this DIY is really easy, the only thing that can be time consuming is the reassembling of the collar. So to help with that before you take it apart you should take some photos of the way it was before. The bow tie collar looks great but it’s not for day-to-day use, it’s not that it’s fragile its just easy to get dirty due to the size of the bow tie and the fact that it’s wrapped around your pet’s neck; Felipe only wears his on special occasions =).
