The first time I tried to cut felt, almost four years ago, I was using my Cricut Explore Air One. While I bought the deep cut blade to cut thicker material, it didn’t work well. I bought some square pieces of felt from the craft store, and it was a fiasco. Cricut Air was simply the wrong tool for the job. After more experimentation, I found stiff felt which cut OK but didn’t work in my desired project, a baby mobile. In the end, I resorted to cutting the pieces by hand.
When the Cricut Maker came on the scene, I was super excited about the rotary blade. I knew this was going to be the perfect tool to cut felt.
