There are many things you can do with a cutting machine and one this is cutting Heat Transfer Vinyl, which can then be applied, to the fabric. You can make personalized t-shirts, onesies, pillowcases and much more. Have you seen child onesies made for every month a baby is getting older or maybe custom blankets or even matching bridal shower t-shirts? Many of these crafts are made using a cutting machine and some DIY ingenuity.
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to apply Heat Transfer Vinyl, also known as “Iron-On”. For this tutorial, I’ll be using a Cricut and Cameo3. Please keep in mind that every brand of HTV is different and they all have their quirks. As you’re getting to know HTV take your time, read the instructions, research the nuances, and pay special attention to temperature settings. If you’ve followed me on Instagram you probably saw on my live video using Silhouette HTV for the very first time. If you didn’t see the video just know it didn’t come out right and that was because of user error; while I followed the same steps from the pillowcase DIY I used a different brand of HTV and I didn’t use the right temperature setting. After much trial and error, I’ve learned a lot about HTV and fancy myself as a bit of an expert now. In the video, I discuss the differences between the two brands and give my recommendations for both. If you make this project and use either of the two brands of HTV I discuss in the video, or any other let me know which is your favorite or how the project worked for you.

Puede hacer playeras personalizadas, onesies, fundas de almohadas y mucho más. ¿Alguna vez has visto onesies hechos para cada mes que un bebé va creciendo o tal vez mantas personalizadas o incluso playeras para Bridal Showers? Ten en cuenta que cada marca de HTV es diferente y todas tienen sus peculiaridades. Cuando ulitilisas HTV tómate el tiempo y lee las instrucciones, presta especial atención a las configuraciones de temperatura. Si me sigues en Instagram probablemente lo viste en mi video en vivo usando Silhouette HTV por primera vez. Si no viste el video, te comento que la transferencia no me salió bien y fue por un error que yo cometí. Seguí los mismos pasos que hizo cuando transferí Iron-On a una almohada, pero este era una marca distinta HTV y no utilicé la configuración de temperatura correcta. Después de un par de errores siento que ahora se un poco mas. En el video. En el video uso 2 marcas de HTV y doy mi opinión de estas, si tu haces el proyecto y usas estas marcas o otra hazme saber cual te gusta.
Después de terminar este proyecto, pienso que tal vez debería obtener un press heat para comenzar a hacer t-shirt o tal vez comenzar con diseños digitales, ¿qué opinas?
