Ever since we started the renovation of my master bedroom I knew I want to change our ugly blinds for some beautiful shades.
The main reason I wanted shades, was to showcase all the trim work my husband and I did on our windows.
First, let me tell you why I chose Bali Blinds Solar Shades and the type of shade I went for. I’m the kind of person that researches everything, twice, sometimes three times. Before digging into any project to replace your blinds a decision needs to be made, blinds or shades?
For our project, we went with shades. I was between Cellular shades, Classic Roman Shades, Rollers shades, and Solar Shades. I decided to go for dual solar shades; they give you full control over light and privacy by combining roller and solar shade into a single versatile window treatment.
Then it was time to get into the fabric choices available. I went to https://www.baliblinds.com and I picked 10 swatches of the fabric to compare. While comparing fabrics online is great, nothing beats having the swatches in hand at your home setting. The great thing about the Bali Blinds is that they will send you up to 10 sample swatches for free.
In the end, I chose Frostine at 5% openness and Manhattan Room Darkening. When choosing solar shades it’s really important to understand the openness percentage. It ranges from 1% to 14% and tells you how much light and to heat it filters as well as how much you’ll be able to see through it. Something similar will happen when choosing roller shades, fabrics come in sheer, light filtering, room darkening, and blackout; meaning you can choose the best light level that suits your room.

Desde que comenzamos la renovación de nuestro dormitorio principal, supe que quería cambiar nuestras feas persianas por shades. La razón principal por la que quería este tipo de persianas, fue para mostrar todo el trabajo que mi esposo y yo hicimos en nuestras en el enmarcado de nuestras ventanas.

Antes de prensar en cambiar tus persianas es importante que escojas la que va mejor con tu espacio.
Yo escogí shades, al comienzo estaba entre celular shades, roman shades, roller shade and solar shade. Al final escogí las persianas solares enrollables dobles, están te permiten tener un buen control de la luz que entre y a la vez te dan mas privacidad, están combinar los roller and solar shade en un solo tratamiento de ventana.
Luego era tiempo de ordenar la tela, fui a baliblinds.com y ordene 10 muestras de tela. Si bien es cierto comprar telas online es practico, nada se compara a tenerlas en la mano, y en la habitación donde planeas usarlas. Lo genial de Bali blinds es que puedes ordenar hasta 10 muestras gratuitamente.
Al final escogi Frostine con 5% de apertura y Manhattan room darkening. Cuando estas escogiendo solar shades es impórtate que entienda que el porcentaje de apertura. Este va de 1-14, y te dice cuanta luz y calor va a filtrar. De la misma manera cuando escoges la otra tela te toca escoger una tela que deje pasar bastante la luz o prefieres las telas que la oscurecen.
