Coca Cola Ornaments – Urban Outfitters inspired

November 27, 2013 Leave a Comment

This is a really easy project, I originally saw this on the Urban Outfitters website and I was pretty sure I could make something similar for a better price, their cost is $12 for each ornament and in the end I made mine for around $3 dollars for each and got to enjoy my coca cola.

I got the small coke cans from Target; they have the Christmas edition, which are even cooler. The first thing to do is to drink your coke.

Then wash the can really well and let it dry. Try to pull back the pop top but be careful,  the edges around the pop top can be sharp. Glue the pop top shut using a little hot glue,. Now place the hanger that we removed from the ball ornaments in “THIS POST” and glue it to the can. When the glue is dry, add some tacky glue on top of the can and sprinkle some glitter on it. And that’s it your done with the first can ornament.

For the second, I used a cheap Christmas stocking to make the hat. To make the small stocking, cut a triangle shape into the stocking and sew it closed, you could also glue it shut if you don’t have a sewing kit. Then cut a small piece out of the white brim of the stocking and again attached it to the bottom. When you are done with the hat glue it to the can and finally glue the hook to the hat.
