Cricut – Dollar Tree Decor Makeover

July 26, 2020 Leave a Comment

I’m thrilled with how this little project turned out; I really enjoy frugal DIYs, and this is one of the best. In general, home decor can be a little pricy; however, making your own can reduce the price significantly while also being fun.

I was at The Dollar Tree last week, where I saw some decorative door hangers. In the store, they had a lot of colors, many of which were not my style, but I knew I could make them mine with just a little effort. Dollar Tree is an excellent resource; most of their products cost one dollar. You may not always find what you’re looking for, but with a little imagination, you can precisely transform something into what you were looking for.

I used my Cricut to make three signs that I knew I would use in my house, my husband and I work from home. I made the “On a Call – please be quiet” for my husband’s office, “Do not disturb, recording in progress” is for my studio, and “No shoes beyond this point” is for the garage door going into the house. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know how much I dislike shoes inside the house.

Here is the link to the signs I put together, to be able to used it you need to be suscripe to Cricut Access.

Watch the video below to see how I transformed and personalized these Dollar Tree door hangers into a million bucks.
