I had this project in mind for over a year and I’ve had the burlap sitting in my office for almost the same amount of time. Originally I was thinking to make a table runner but then I realized I didn’t enough fabric (such a bummer!) but then I realized I had the perfect amount of fabric to make a set of placemats instead.
As you’ll see in the video I used a mix of tacky glue and water to create my own fabric stiffener. While you can buy fabric stiffener, I prefer making it on my own just because I like being crafty. I made these placemats for Christmas but they’re so versatile and can fit just about any holiday by simply changing the design. I also think these placemats work great on a rustic table setting.

Tenia planeado hacer este proyecto hace mas de un año, incluso compre la tela, pero por alguna razón se me paso. Originalmente tenía planeado hacer un camino de mesa, pero me di cuenta que no compre suficiente tela, así que decidí hacer individuales.
Como verás en el video yo rigidice la tela usando pegamento y agua, pero si lo deseas puedes comprar un producto que hace esto, he visto que otras personas usan mod podge. Yo hice estos individuales para navidad, pero tu puedes hacer un diseño para cualquiera estación. Me parece que estos individuales se verían increíbles si tienes planeado un evento con una temática rústica.
