Desde que hice el DIY de los pajaritos enamorados me quedes con las ganas de hacer otro DIY usando un animalito. Uno de mis animales preferidos es el búho, se ven tan inteligentes y tiernos.
Ya había decidido que usar para hacer el búho, sin embargo no me gustaba el resultado, mi búho tenia cara de amargo, me fui a Pinterest y ahí encontré este búho, me comuniqué con su creador Marteen y le pedí permiso de modificar su plantilla para este proyecto. Muchas gracias Maarten por dejarme usar tu lindo búho. Por si desean le recomiendo visitar su pagina web tiene full animales en modelo dimensional con plantillas gratuitas para descargar(3EyedBear). Para este DIY yo modifique la plantilla de Marteen porque quería el búho libre de decoraciones, solo quería los ojos, ya que quería usar un papel impreso con 3 canciones que son muy especiales para mi y mi esposo. Aunque en el resultado final no podrás leer toda la canción lo que importa es el mensaje que esta detrás, también puedes utilizar una carta de amor o un poema. Les recomiendo comprar la cartulina que bien en formato 21.6 x 27.9 cm, por lo general este tipo de cartulina s de peso mediano y podrá ser usado en su impresora. Al momento de imprimir por segunda vez encima de la canción prueba la forma en que tu impresora imprime, ten en cuenta que cuando el búho este armado queremos poder leer las palabra y que no estén invertidas. Este DIY lo pueden utilizar de diferente maneras como regalo para San Valentín o como elemento decorativo en fiestas incluso lo pueden colocar como adorno de bodas. Remember when I made the paper lovebirds? Since then I knew I’ve know I wanted to make another DIY using paper animals. I love owls, to me they look smart and loving. I had in my mind how to make an owl and how I wanted it to look but it when I initially started building this project it didn’t come out how I wanted. After doing a bit of searching I found my source of inspiration on Pinterest. I found a beautiful picture of paper owls, which I know would be perfect for my project. I got in touch with the designer and asked him for permission to use and modified version of his template, which he kindly allowed; thank you Maarten. If you are into paper animals don’t forget to check out his website, he has really cool paper animals with free templates for download (3EyedBear). I modified his template to be a little simpler because of all of the extra text that my project was going to incorporate; favorite songs, poems or love letters.
I would recommend buying a scrapbook, 8.5” x11 (21.6 x 27.9 cm), which is usually capable of being used with regular printers.
Tip:
When printing the paper you’ll need to print two times. For the second time keep in mind we want the words right side when looking at the front of the owl.
